3D Printing

I came across an article on three-dimensional (3D) printing some years ago, but the technology seems to have developed since. Basically, it prints any 3D object you can design in your computer.  Take a look:

Historic Baha’i Medal

I received this medal as a gift a few years ago & realized that It is designed by Ralph Menconi who currently has one fan on facebook – guess who?

I would appreciate more information on the medal & the artist if you happen to know. Also, these pictures don’t do justice to the beauty in detail of this bronze piece.

Dated: 1979

Commercialized Sex Segregation

I run into this book at the children’s section of a bookstore. Ponder on these few questions:

  • Is gender-based prejudice and separation a really “cool” thing nowadays – worthy of commercialization?
  • Should patriarchal behaviors and trends be introduced and perhaps set at this age?
  • Or do the publisher think that its only a “kid thing” and they’ll forget about it once they get older?

Two good ideas

Here are two good ideas in one:

1) a trash compactor
2) powered by the sun

It does not take much brain power to to think of the environment and utilize it’s natural resources when producing anything for the advancement of human race.

Interracial ad

So far, most of the ads out there are “separate but equal.” Meaning, showcasing diverse races but not often an interracial couple or family.

But here is one interracial ad for a good start – though she is closer to “him” in skin/color complexion.
